  • December, 2007

I have a 2007 calendar from the British men's magazine ARENA, and the last month of this year features French-Swedish actress Eva Green.

I started to take notice of her after I first saw her in the movie Kingdom of Heaven (2005). Then I caught an older film called The Dreamers (2003), and she's had me hooked ever since, and this was cemented when the latest James Bond move Casino Royale (2006) came out. It was a pity that her latest, The Golden Compass (2007), half-wasted her screen presence; nothing wrong with her acting, but the script and production of that movie didn't really do any of the actors  there justice, I felt.

Not only is this talented and beautiful actress as close to my ideal type of woman as any, it also happens that the years 2005-2007 have had some meaning for me in terms of relationships, and were related to the timing of her rising star in films. Green reminds me of a couple women I've been particularly fond of or been with, and they in turn have reminded me of her.

Memories of those times have been bittersweet. And I guess it was appropriate that she would be the December girl in the calendar, to round off the year.

Here are some photos of her from ARENA magazine.

Here's hoping that 2008 will be better.

    Have a Happy New Year!

  • Merry Christmas!

For this 2007 Christmas season, That Saucy Bastard would like to wish everyone Happy Holidays!

If you are in winter climes, do remember to dress warm...

...but in warmer places, then less so...

...or in some cases, somewhere in between.

Don't forget some festive candy cane...

    ...and those decorative toy soldiers...

And for some guys, maybe a Christmas gift of blondes are your thing...

    ...while personally, I prefer brunettes...

...or some may prefer the larger ladies...

...or maybe just someone to rhumba with.

But in any case, whatever your wishes, I hope a warm smile brightens your day...

    ...and warms your nights.

    Have a Merry, Merry Christmas!
